Reesha announces suspension of campaign

Dearest Friends,

The coronavirus has impacted all of us in completely unexpected ways. I was not anticipating that I would have to make this devastating choice to suspend my campaign. My daughter, Willow, is my first priority and I must be able to provide for her.  Like most of us in our community, the COVID-19 crisis forces us to make difficult decisions.
I will continue my leadership in our community. I will be an advocate on certain dire issues affecting us all. This is especially important to me as we begin life post-COVID-19. My door will still be open to you with conversations about our local and state community issues.

My deepest
heartfelt thanks go out to each and every person who supported me by giving untold campaign volunteering hours, donations, endorsement opportunities, generous advice, and especially kind and affirmative words of future support.

While, at this time, I won't be in a campaign for public office, I still look forward to meeting in-person with our district residents in western Yakima county, all of Klickitat and Skamania counties, and some of the eastern parts of Clark counties, in the future. In the coming days, like a phoenix, I will arise from these ashes and create new and virtual ways for me to connect with you. It brings me joy to be able to begin this next chapter of the journey.

In solidarity,
